These are the first papercraft examples playing with Tesslation and Modularity. The first two pictures are the tesselation part of the assignment where we took triangles and all made our own, but they also had a common side to be able to connect to everyone else in the group.
The second pictures are the origami part of the assignment. We you can see the snake our group made, with all of our pieces connected, as well as the origami star that we all were supposed to do on our own.
Phase 2 of this assignment was to test different kinds of connecters that could be used for the final project. I worked with my group and got to experiment with foam. I decided to follow the "joints for foam board" tutorial and made a box joint with the foam; as seen in the photos.
For phase three we had to test our joinery ideas with the laser cutter. The picture shows my whole groups tests all together, both paper and wood, but I personall did wood. I expanded on the box joints that I did with the foam, but this time it was with wood.
